Terms of Service
OTHERWORK Terms of Service
Effective September 5, 2026
These Terms of Service govern use of OTHERWORK and its connected stylist-business tools. By creating or using an OTHERWORK account, you agree to these Terms.
1. Account and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, and use OTHERWORK only for a business you are authorized to operate. You are responsible for activity under your account and for promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
2. The service
OTHERWORK provides business software for independent hairstylists, including client records, scheduling, formulas, mixing, inventory, retail, forms, communications, websites, reporting, invoices, loyalty and related assistive tools. Features may change as the product improves.
3. Client information and permissions
You decide what client information you place in OTHERWORK. You are responsible for having an appropriate business purpose, notices, permissions and consents for client contact details, photos, service history, forms, communications and other records you collect. Do not upload information you are not permitted to use.
4. Professional decisions and AI
OTHERWORK does not replace professional judgment or legal, tax, accounting or medical advice. Formula Assistant, Ask Marlowe, profitability estimates and generated messages are assistive outputs that may be incomplete or wrong. Review them before relying on them or sending them to clients.
5. Payments and subscriptions
Paid access is subject to the price and billing period shown at purchase and the Subscription + Cancellation Terms. OTHERWORK launches at $24/month with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscriptions. App Store purchases are billed and managed by Apple. Other payment-provider charges, if offered, are governed by the checkout terms shown at purchase.
6. Communications
You are responsible for sending only lawful, consented client communications and honoring opt-outs. OTHERWORK may block or delay messages when consent, quiet-hour, provider or approval safeguards are not satisfied.
7. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. You may not misuse the service, access another studio without authorization, interfere with security, send unlawful or deceptive communications, or use OTHERWORK to violate another person’s rights.
8. Intellectual property
OTHERWORK and its software, design, branding and documentation are owned by OTHERWORK or its licensors. You retain rights you have in your business content and grant OTHERWORK the limited permission needed to host, process, display and transmit that content to provide the service.
9. Third-party services
Some features rely on third parties such as hosting, database storage, email, messaging, payment, app-store and AI providers. Their availability and terms can affect those features. OTHERWORK is not responsible for a third party’s independent outage or policy change.
10. Suspension and termination
We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, nonpayment, abuse or material violation of these Terms. You may stop using OTHERWORK and may initiate account deletion as described in the Account + Data Deletion Policy.
11. Service availability
We work to keep OTHERWORK reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Beta, preview, hardware-dependent and provider-dependent features may change or be unavailable.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OTHERWORK is provided on an “as available” basis without warranties not expressly stated here. OTHERWORK is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business opportunities or data, except where applicable law does not allow that limitation. Any aggregate liability is limited to amounts paid to OTHERWORK for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless law requires otherwise.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims arising from your unlawful use of OTHERWORK, your violation of these Terms, or client content you had no right to collect, upload or send.
14. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by California law, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer law requires otherwise. We may update these Terms and will post the revised effective date; material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email.
